Our Story
The Wizard of Paws loves a good pun. The name itself is based off a whimsical story that talks about a girl and her dog, Toto, trying to find their way back to Kansas in the magical land of Oz. Now dog owners in the local Palm Springs area can truly feel right at home without having to click their heels three times to get there. Owner Charles Cowser is a huge dog lover. He currently owns four dogs - Bubba, Bob, April, and Cha Cha. He started this business in the hopes of providing dog grooming services to dog lovers looking to avoid the long drive to other locations. Charles brought in Amy Lewis, a dog grooming expert, with over 20 years experience in the industry to help him provide excellent service to all his customers. Together, they have created a clean, quiet, and cage free environment for anybody who wants their dog to feel comfortable, while being transformed into a daper little pup.

I love coming into work everyday because I get to be creative with the different types of cuts on a variety of breeds. Being a pet owner of two dogs,
I understand the importance of maintaining a dog's hair every 4-6 weeks to avoid matting in their coat and skin issues. I also have 15 years as veterinarian technician assisting Valley Animal Clinic in Indio. This experience allows me to spot medical issues with your dogs like an ear infection and refer them to an animal hospital clinic.
